The Allwave Dragon was designed in collaboration with our Canadian dealer Kayak Ideal which is in close contact with the wider Canadian Dragon Boating community. In fact, the dragon was designed to fulfill the dragon boating community needs when it comes to using single crafts.
Differences from a normal OC:
1. The AMA can be set up in both sides, allowing the paddler to exercise on his/her favorite side. This is particularly appreciated by dragon boating clubs interested in having water trials side by side with two Dragons with paddlers normally sharing the same seat;
2. The Iakos are positioned further apart allowing for a long reach typical of the dragon boat paddling style; and
3. The Dragon is a low volume outrigger perfect for flat water and wash riding;
In line with all the other OC the back iako can be vertically adjusted allowing for a personalised weight distribution. The seat is adjustable by simply unlocking the little cord in front and sliding to the desired position prior locking it. The ergonomic seat is designed to allow the athletes comfort and control while padding in the ocean. The iakos are made of aluminum and the rudder and pedals are connected with a spectra cable. The AMA is designed with an aerodynamic shape facilitating gliding while providing maximum buoyancy.
The Dragon comes in two layups Ibrida and Corsa.
Ibrida: 580 cm x 41 cm - 12.5kg + iakos 0.5kg + ama 2kg
Corsa: 580 cm x 41 cm - 10kg + iakos 0.5kg + ama 2kg
Note: Matt Paint as an option can add up to 300-400gr on declared weights
